The Lenoir City High School Bass Club was back on the water Saturday competing against high schools from the region in the Bass Pro Shops Tournament on Fort Loudoun Lake.

The duo of Dalton Bailey and Hayden Stockett came away with a second-place finish overall with a 7.83-pound bag.

“It felt pretty good for us,” Bailey said. “It was a tough day out there and we didn’t think we were going to do very good. We didn’t even think we’d get second place with that weight. Whenever we got back to the weigh-in, we figured out that everybody else was having a rough day catching fish. The bites seemed to shut off because of that cold front.”

Saturday’s finish was the duo’s best result in a regular season tournament.
